In Avengers: Infinity War, since Thanos snapped half of the universal population out of existence, what happens to the planets he had already decimated half on such as Gamora’s?

There are two options here.
Either those planets remained untouched, or half the remaining population was decimated.
Thanos had been applying his “salvation technique” at least since Gamora was a child, doing all the dirty work by hand. When he was done with the planets, only half the population remained, and if we are to believe Thanos, they then went on to live in prosperity because of it black canary costumes
With the Infinity Stones, Thanos is able to do this by thinking about eliminating half the universe and snapping his fingers.
And herein lies the question: did Thanos consider the planets he’d already “saved” or was everyone actually chosen at random as he so claimed?
I think that in the moment he snapped his fingers after Thor had plunged an axe into his chest, he was too busy thinking about completing his mission to worry about the planets he’d already hit. This means that approximately half the remaining population of planets like Gamora’s were disintegrated leaving only a quarter of the original population untouched thea queen cosplay.
This would make sense considering “halfing” is exponential decay. Think of it like the half-life of a radioactive object: the object doesn’t lose the remaining half of radioactivity after the second half-life; it just loses half of what it has left. I imagine population decay the Thanos way would apply the same way injustice 2 joker costumes
